Macomb County Planning & Economic Development
Ms. Rad has devoted much of her career to helping businesses expand their reach and operate effectively.
Her background is in information systems and leadership, and that expertise has taken her to jobs in county government, the Detroit Regional Chamber, and the Macomb Regional Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC, based at Macomb Community College).
After earning degrees from Baker College and Central Michigan University, Ms. Rad counseled and educated local businesses on procuring federal, state, and local government contracts at the PTAC. She also managed the Chamber’s Connection Point grant-funded program, which identified and developed opportunities for Michigan businesses through supplier engagements. In her current role, she helps oversee overall strategy for Macomb Planning and Economic Development and works to implement the economic-development action plan.
She is the immediate past president of the Michigan Chapter of Women in Defense, a nonprofit group that supports professional development for Michigan women who contribute to national defense and security.
